Modern Jewish: Research and Teaching
The department lays stress on training graduate students in teaching. Many opportunities exist for graduate students to work with faculty members as teaching assistants. In addition teaching internships are available – usually during the third year in the program. Some graduate students also work as research assistants and as preceptors, acting as program advisors and directing B.A. thesis seminars.
