Graduate students contact me about scheduling the Ph.D. Field Examination (Orals), the Dissertation Proposal Hearing, the Final Dissertation Defense for the Ph.D. Degree, and the dissertation submission process/graduation. Together with Sonja, I am here to help answer your questions about the department, the university, etc. Also, I coordinate graduate students' work/study RA positions. While the Secretary is away during the summer months, I assist with the Course Time Schedule. Prospective students contact me to assist with arranging appointments to meet with faculty and administrators. Please contact me via email two-weeks beforehand. October and November during the Autumn Quarter is the recommended time period to visit. I also schedule the John Hope Franklin Common Room (SSRB 224), which is available for workshops, lectures, and conferences. Please contact me via email to reserve the room.
