Intern Helps Restore Montpelier

Allison Robinson, a second-year doctoral student, will intern at James Madison’s plantation, Montpelier, in Orange, Virginia, this summer as part of the Rubenstein Initiative. With a $10 million gift from David M. Rubenstein, JD’73, the Montpelier Foundation will continue restoring the main house to its ca. 1817–1836 appearance and recreate the South Yard slaves’ quarter.
