Mark Philip Bradley, Bernadotte E. Schmitt Professor of International History,
and Tara Zara, professor of East European history, will discuss their recently published books at the Human Rights Workshop on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at 4:30 PM, with a reception to follow. The workshop will meet in the John Hope Franklin Room, Social Science Research Building, room 224, 1126 E. 59th Street.

Bradley will talk about The World Reimagined: Americans and Human Rights in the Twentieth Century (Cambridge, 2016). Discussant: James Sparrow, associate professor of US history.

Zara will talk about The Great Departure: Mass Migration from Eastern Europe and the Making of the Free World (Norton, 2016). Discussant: Jonanthan Levy, professor of US history.


Between 11 am and 5 pm, a limited number of their books will be available for purchase for $5 from Kathy Scott at the Pozen Center for Human Rights, 5720 S. Woodlawn Avenue, room 213.
