High school students wishing to study history at the University of Chicago should apply for admission through the College. History is a popular major (and minor) at Chicago with recent graduates becoming lawyers, politicians and policy makers, curators, entrepeneurs, consultants, teachers, and community activists.

The Department of History welcomes applications from prospective students interested in the PhD in history. Applications are completed online through the Division of the Social Sciences.
