A service in memory of Alison Winter (1965–2016) will be held in Rockefeller Memorial Chapel, 5850 S. Woodlawn Avenue, on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at 4:00 pm. A reception will follow in the library of Ida Noyes Hall, 1212 E. 59th Street. All members of the university community, friends, family, and the public are invited to attend. Alison graduated from the College in 1987 and was a professor in the Department of History, the Committee on the Conceptual and Historical Studies of Science, and the College.

A note from the family: Alison was a passionate supporter of libraries, and an appropriate way for friends to commemorate her is to make a donation to the University of Chicago Library. The easiest way to do this is to select "Library" from the drop-down menu and add a comment at the bottom of the form, such as "in memory of Alison Winter."

People who need assistance should contact David Goodwine, dgoodwine@uchicago.edu, (773) 702-8397.
