BIOGRAPHY
I am a doctoral student in the Department of History and a Neubauer Family Distinguished Doctoral Fellow. In 2019, I earned my undergraduate degree in History and International Studies from Lagos State University. My undergraduate long essay examined the history of road infrastructure in Lagos and analyzed how three major bridges—Carter, Eko, and Third Mainland—enhanced connectivity, social integration, and economic development.
Building on my undergraduate research, I pursued an M.A. degree at Concordia University in Montreal. My M.A. thesis explores the history of water infrastructure in Agege, Lagos, Nigeria, with a particular focus on the growth and development of informal water supply systems in the municipality. In addition, I have worked as a research assistant with DéPOT, a global research project that investigates the sociopolitical, economic, and cultural impacts of deindustrialization.
